How to make cinnamon twist's
what you will need:
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 cup milk (whole or 2%)
- 1 Tablespoon sugar
- 1 Tablespoon dry active yeast
- 1-2 tablespoon Cinnamon
- 1-2 tablespoons Nutmeg
- 1/2 cup Brown sugar
- 1 egg
- Warm up the milk and put the yeast and sugar mix it real good wait 10 minutes to rise. ( warm milk not hot)
- In a large mixing bowl, put flour and the butter and then sprinkle cinnamon as well. Pinched the butter into the flour until it breaks up into smaller little pieces. Pour the milk and the egg into the flour mix, mix it up until you get a dough consistency (best to use hands after a while) after it's combined make sure there’s no flour left. Cover it and leave it for an hour.
- Preheat oven to 350°
- After it doubled in size after it's ready to roll it out. Spread out some flour on a clean surface. Roll out the dough till it is 1 to 2 inches thick.
- For the filling get a separate bowl put butter and sprinkle cinnamon and nutmeg then mix it and then spread it all over the dough then roll the dough up until you get a cinnamon roll. Cut it in half but leave 1 inches up top. the section that cut is start twisting the dough. then place parchment paper on a baking pan, put it in the oven to cook for 30 minutes.
