Homemade pasta


What you will need (crock pot) (rolling pin)


Ingredients:                                                  

  • 10 Tomatoes.                       
  • 1 White onion                                                                
  • 1 head of garlic                                                             
  • 3 Bay leaves (fresh or dried)
  • 2-3 Tablespoons of olive oil
  • Salt ( to taste)
  • Pepper ( to taste)
  • 7 Eggs
  • 2 Cups of flour
  • 1 Pound of ground meat ( beef or turkey)
  • 12oz of bread crumbs
  • 2 Tablespoon of Italian seasoning 
  • Parsley (for garnish) 
  • Red pepper (optional)

Preheat oven to 400°F


  1. Chop all the tomatoes and onion place them on baking pan (use parchment paper) wrap the head of garlic in tinfoil add to pan. Drizzle oil and sprinkle salt and pepper. Bake for 50 minutes.
  2. On a clean surface place the flour, in the middle of the flour start making a circle with your hand. Place the eggs in the middle start slowly putting the flour in the middle until it becomes more like a dough consistency (might have to use hands) start kneading the dough until smooth and make a ball, wrap it with plastic wrap let it rest for 20 minutes. 
  3. In a large mixing bowl put the ground meat, egg, bread crumbs and seasonings mix until combine. Then start making the balls then place them in a crock pot. Blend all the roasted tomatoes, onion and garlic (squeeze the head of the garlic) then pour half of the sauce (other half set a side) in the crock pot, set on medium (cook for 4-6 hours)
  4. After the dough been resting, on a clean surface (sprinkle flour before rolling out the dough) roll out the dough out until it's translucent. Then start cutting the dough into long strips making it into noodles. Let it dry until the meat is ready. 
  5. After 4-6 hours check the meat if it’s no longer pink inside its ready.(pour the other half of sauce into the crock pot) then set it on low. Then get a pot fill it with water place it on medium heat. When its starts boiling add salt so the noodles won’t stick to each other (fresh noodles cook longer) add the noodles cook for 8-15 minutes you will know its ready when you can cut it with a fork (Serve right away).
