Sourdough starter

                 sourdough starter 




 All you need is flour ( all-purpose) or (white wheat flour) just make sure any flour you use is un-bleached it’s important to use so you don’t kill your starter and filtered water.

Ingredients:

  • - 40grams Warm filtered water 
  • - 40grams flour


  1. Best to use a mason jar or any glass container will do, mix the water and flour well until its like a pancake batter,If its too water or too dry its okay to add.
  2. When you got it all mixed up and it’s a pancake batter put a lid on top ( don’t screw it tight ) in a place on your countertop or in the oven with the light on occasionally and leave it there for 24 hours.
  3.  (After 24 hours)
  4. Discard half so half of 40g so you’re gonna take out 20g (discard you can throw it out in the trash) never put it in the sink or you can put it in a separate jar seal it tight and put it in the fridge and save it for a discard recipe) then you’re going to add back in 40g of warm water and 40g of flour, filtered water and the flour used before.

Then repeat for 6 days
